Things I will miss about the hotel:
Breakfast! I’m not a morning person nor a breakfast person so it’s really nice to have someone else do the breakfast cooking and all I have to do is show up.
Linens and towels. I don’t have to wash them. All I have to do is throw them out the door when I’m done with them and housekeeping brings us new ones. AND if I ask them to, they’ll even make the beds up for us.
Housekeeping. Speaking of the housekeeping staff, we haven’t had them come into the room very much due to COVID but knowing they’re available to help clean, vacuum, and make the beds is nice.
Gym and pool. Although they were closed for a good portion of our time here due to COVID and we’ve only used them a handful of times, the fact they are here, easily accessible, and we have the ability to use them anytime is really handy.
The staff. I’m going to miss the staff. They are all nice and friendly. We’ve gotten to know a handful of them pretty well and consider them friends now. I’m sure we’ll keep in touch but I will miss seeing them every day.
I’m sure we’ll be back, though! The new house is only 3 miles away and we will have a shitload of rewards points to use so I’m sure we will come hang out every now and then for a night or two.
And if you’re ever in our neck of the woods, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s convenient, easy to get to, right in the middle of everything – restaurants, stores, coffee shops, etc. and it’s a good value.
Is it the nicest/fanciest hotel I’ve ever stayed at? No, but it’s clean, well kept, reasonably priced, comfortable, and as I mentioned, the staff is friendly and helpful.
