The 16 year old learned an important lesson today. . .

They’ve opened up our county a bit more so the kids are able to have spectators at their sports events beginning tomorrow.

Each player is only given 3 armbands for the family and friends to come and coach gave out the armbands yesterday.

Nate dropped his on the way out of practice last night and he was upset about it when he went to give them to me and couldn’t find them.

We convinced him to text coach and let him know in case someone turned them in. He didn’t want to, figuring they were just gone forever.

But he did text coach who promptly replied and said one of his teammates turned them in when he found them on the ground.

And there’s another lesson here for everyone –

I hear so many people these days say how teenagers are so rude and obnoxious and only care for themselves. . .

People – it’s just not true.

Today’s teens and young adults are some of the most conscientious people I know.

And if they’re NOT. . . well, *YOU* have a prime opportunity to redirect them lovingly so they can be.

  1. We hosted more than 100 kids in the basketball stadium where I manage a cafe. They were grade 5 and 6 kids and I complimented the organizer and asked him to pass on my applause to all the schools that this group of kids from about 6 schools were polite, patient and kind. It was lovely to host them all
