So, I don’t often talk about the fact that I have a severe back injury that happened 22 years ago. I’ve learned to just do the best I can and not let it stop me.
But some days are harder than others. Like today. And yesterday. I’ve had to take meds I don’t normally take.
So last night I saw an ad for Walmart grocery pickup and I was dreading going to the store. When my back is out, it can take me HOURS to do the grocery shopping. I can’t always ask others to help – my mom and my daughters all have full time jobs too.
I ordered my groceries on the Walmart grocery app last night and reserved a time for this morning. Got a text when my order was ready and checked in right on the app. It told them I was on the way.
When I got there (8 minutes later because we only live 3 miles away) it notified the store I was there in the pickup area, confirmed my parking spot (they have designated numbered spots and you just choose which one you’re in right on the app), and a few minutes later, a lovely Walmart employee came out with my order.
I never even had to get out of my car. She confirmed everything with me then loaded it into my trunk and off I went!
Easiest grocery shopping I’ve ever done!
When I got home, Mr. Nate helped me unload the car and put things away. And now I’m getting ready to do some client work.
