She picked up her cap and gown and honor sash today!!!!
Have I mentioned how proud I am of this kiddo?!? Not only did she have a full class schedule at the high school, she participated in a program for juniors and seniors called Running Start, which means she also took a full class load at the community college, too.
She made the honor roll at both the high school and the college every quarter this year, too.
AND she worked a part time job.
AND she’s been first chair of the flute section in the band for the past two years. (2nd and 3rd chair the previous two years). And with all the band activities – playing at football games, basketball games, parades, state and regional competitions – band is kinda like a part time job too.
Last night at the last band concert, when she was presented with her Honor certificate and her varsity letter, her band teacher said she’s one of the most talented musicians (and artists) she’s ever met. ❤️
I love you, my Lulu and I hope you know how proud I am of you and how much I believe in you.
(I also want to acknowledge something else really cool – every graduating band member made the honor roll this year. All 8 of them!)
