My car has a recall notice for fuel and/or engine oil leaks so a few weeks ago, I made an appointment for today with the dealership to perform the testing needed to tell if my car requires the repair or not (which in this case is a brand new engine). . .

But the dealership had to reschedule it because they have 2 technicians out on leave this week, which turned out to be a good thing because my mom’s car is ALSO in the shop (since last week) and we can’t pick it up until tomorrow. . .

AND Nathan has to be at football practice at 2pm today instead of the normal 5pm because there’s a girl’s soccer game today at 5pm.

So, if I had, had to take my car up to the dealership (which is an hour away) today as scheduled, for the test which takes 2.5 hours to perform, I wouldn’t have been back in time to take him, mom wouldn’t have been able to take him, and both of his sisters who have vehicles are at work today, so neither of them would have been able to take him.

AND don’t like him to walk even though it’s barely 2 miles because it’s on a 5 lane highway at one end with a TON of traffic AND a freeway overpass to cross.

At first, I was slightly irritated that I had to reschedule my car appointment because let’s be honest, the idea that the engine could fail and cause a fire due to this issue is pretty scary and I want it resolved ASAP

But it turns out, the Universe has my back as usual and is making it easy for us to be able to get the kiddo to football practice this afternoon.

Which means, I’m gonna believe it has my back when it comes to this recall issue, too, and that I won’t be left stranded.

How’s your week going?
