Here’s a quick update about a new privacy law you might have heard about….

There’s a new privacy law going into effect on January 1st called “CCPA” – the California Consumer Privacy Act.

With so much hubbub about the GDPR last year, I can understand if your ears are primed when you hear about a “new privacy law” affecting the US. I love that you want to comply with the law!

However, it’s mostly likely that this law DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU if you’re a small business owner or entrepreneur.

What does this mean for you?

You don’t need to do anything differently.
You don’t need to change your opt-in language.
You don’t need to contact your “list”.
You don’t need to update your Privacy Policy because of this law.

You should be good to go as is.

Now if that’s not a wonderful end-of-the-year legal gift to you, I don’t know what is! 😊
